In 1955 a group of See Off Mountain women led by Mrs. Eliza Dargan Ware and Mrs. Allie B. Harllee organized "The Homesteaders" to form a "Closer Unity of The See Off Community." It looks a little different today but the heart is still the same!
Community is the spirit, the guiding light, whereby people come together to fulfill a purpose, to help others fulfill their purpose, and to take care of one another.
